Gadwal: With the aim of providing quick justice to victims and addressing public issues effectively, a Grievance Day program was organized today at the District Police Office. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Sri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS supervised the proceedings. During the program, 12 complaints were received from applicants across different parts of the district. The SP personally contacted the concerned police station officers over phone and directed them to resolve the issues at the earliest in accordance with law. Speaking on the occasion, SP Srinivasa Rao said that the initiative was designed to bring police services closer to the people and to ensure justice for victims without delay. He instructed all police officers and staff to treat complainants with respect, receive petitions with seriousness, and if necessary, conduct field-level inquiries to resolve the issues legally and fairly. “Such measures will build confidence and trust among the public towards the police department,” he added. The SP also mentioned that all petitions received during Grievance Day would be recorded online and their progress regularly reviewed to ensure timely redressal. He urged the public to make use of this opportunity to present their grievances directly to officials.

Gadwal: In a significant relief to victims of cyber fraud, the Jogulamba Gadwal District Police have successfully recovered a total amount of ₹2.46 lakh and refunded it to the affected persons. District Superintendent of Police Shri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, stated that the recovery was made possible through swift police action, effective coordination with the banking system, and timely court orders. India News Updates According to the SP, in a cybercrime case registered under Maldakal Police Station limits, a woman victim had lost ₹1.80 lakh. Acting promptly, the police were able to recover ₹1 lakh and ensure its refund to the victim. The refund order in this case was issued by the Hon’ble Principal Junior Civil Judge Court, Gadwal, presided over by Judge N.V.H. Poojitha. In another incident, a resident of Kalugotla village fell victim to a cyber fraud and lost ₹1.90 lakh. Despite a delay in lodging the complaint, the police managed to recover ₹56,000 and refund the amount to the victim. The Hon’ble Junior Civil Judge Court, Alampur, under Judge R.V.S.S. Mithun Teja, issued the necessary refund orders in this case.

Gadwal Law and Order Maintenance: The Jogulamba Gadwal Police ensured peace and security throughout the district, allowing citizens to live in a harmonious environment. Police successfully managed festivals like Vinayaka Nimajjanam, Dasara Navaratri, and Ramzan, as well as VIP visits and the Parliament and MLC elections, without any untoward incidents. A total of 2,419 cases were registered in 2024, with grave cases reducing from 94 in 2023 to 69 in 2024. Murders decreased from 12 to 9. Women and Child Safety: Crimes against women saw a significant drop, with cases reducing from 201 (Rape-64, POCSO-73) in 2023 to 186 (Rape-31, POCSO-44) in 2024. SC/ST Atrocities: While minor cases of SC/ST atrocities were promptly registered, cases increased from 25 in 2023 to 40 in 2024.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao called upon students to take inspiration from former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao’s life and achievements, describing him as a role model whose legacy continues to inspire generations. During a visit to the Swami Ramananda Tirtha Memorial School in Begumpet on Thursday, he distributed notebooks and school bags to students and inaugurated a mid-day meal programme being run under the Talasani Trust. Hyderabad: BRS general secretary and former Minister T Jeevan Reddy accused the Congress government of presiding over large-scale irregularities in paddy procurement. He said farmers were forced to sell their produce at lower prices, while rice millers pocketed huge gains. Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, Jeevan Reddy stated that farmers lost between Rs 120 and Rs 243 per quintal during procurement and alleged that rice millers had siphoned off paddy worth nearly Rs 1,000 crore. He demanded an immediate inquiry, stating that official weighbridge records would expose the alleged exploitation. He warned that failure to order a probe would raise suspicions about official complicity in the irregularities.
