The Sri Sangameshwara Temple (also known as Kudala Sangameswara) is a magnificent 8th-century Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Alampur, Telangana. Originally constructed at the confluence (Sangam) of the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers, it was meticulously dismantled and rebuilt rock-by-rock between 1979 and 1990 by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to save it from submergence due to the Srisailam Dam reservoir. It is now situated approximately 1 km from the Alampur bus station, near the Navabrahma temples.

• Transplantation: Fearing submergence, the ASI undertook the massive project of shifting the temple in 1979.  The structure was numbered, dismantled, and reconstructed on higher ground, completing the work by January 1990.

• Discovery: During the relocation, a rare Marakata Linga (emerald linga) was discovered beneath the main Shivalinga, which is now preserved within the sanctum.
