The Sree Jammulamma Temple is a revered folk deity shrine located in Jammichedu (also known as Jammished) village, approximately 4 km west of Gadwal town in the Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana.  Dedicated to Goddess Jammulamma, a form of Renuka Yellamma (mother of Lord Parashurama), the temple is a significant spiritual center for the region, drawing thousands of devotees from Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The temple’s origin is rooted in a local legend where a farmer, while plowing his field, discovered a stone that repeatedly returned to its original spot after being moved. Upon keeping vigil, the farmer witnessed the stone transform into a goddess at midnight. The village, originally called Pothulapadu, was renamed Jammichedu (Place of Jamma) in her honor. The deity is believed to be Swayambhu (self-manifested) and is considered a protector who grants wishes and cures ailments.
